KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 5 (Bernama) — Shell Malaysia has allocated RM300,000 under its Sustainable Development Grants Programme to help boost sustainable development projects.

The Nelson County Public Schools system was presented with four $500 educational grants from Tiger Fuel Company of Lovingston this week.

Applications are now being accepted for federal grants to fund projects that identify, evaluate or provide technical assistance to help reduce solid waste and associated land or water pollution in rural areas, announced USDA Rural Development State Director Mary Ruth Tackett.

San Jacinto County Tourism Council is pleased to announce the awarding of two tourism grants in San Jacinto County.

AFTER five successful years, energy efficiency grants are available once again from the borough council. Homeowners in the borough who are aged 65 or over may be eligible for an energy efficiency grant of up to 500 to help to pay for cavity wall and loft insulation.

Kansas University and the Lawrence-based Kansas Head Start Association recently were awarded health grants totaling about $220,000. The grants are from Hutchinson-based United Methodist Health Ministry Funds 2008 Innovative Funding program, which is designed to support practical and promising ideas for improving health.

GRANTS of up to 40,000 are being offered to fund local walking projects.

The Australian Lot Feeders Association (ALFA) has welcomed the Federal Government launch of its $15million research grants program for second generation biofuels research.

Saline County Presiding Commissioner Becky Plattner said Wednesday, Oct. 29, that grants of more than $1 million will be available during the 2008-2009 grant season for Pioneer Trails Regional Planning Committee.

Federal grants will be sought to develop two brownfield sites in Alton Park. A grant of up to $200,000 is sought for a portion of the old Anchor Glass property at W. 45th Street.
